This month we are exploring the Russian classic, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I have fond memories of reading this book back in 2010 but since reading Reading Lolita in Tehran I think it’s time to revisit this book. So I will be reading along with the rest of the people; it’s been a while now since I’ve been able to join in as I read the last couple of books recently already. Also I’m a huge fan of Russian literature so hope to get some amazing insights of this book in the threads over at Goodreads.
Next month we are moving to Japanese literature and looks like will be reading Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami. Luckily, this is a short book for Murakami and one I’ve been looking forward to reading. It will also be a good choice for anyone looking for a Magical Realism book for the Literary Exploration reading challenge. Don’t forget you can join in on all this fun over at Goodreads and don’t forget to vote in the polls.
For my personal reading I’m planning on finishing The Age Atomic by Adam Christopher, The Night Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko and Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace. University has started back up and it’s a big reading semester for me so I might have to focus mostly on those books, but I do hope that I have plenty of time to read the books I want to read. Please let me know if you have any books planned for the month and happy reading everyone.
